MIGRITUDE’S ECHO

A short experimental theatre piece with choreography, puppetry and music for the Out The Box Festival of Puppetry and Visual Performance. Migritude’s Echo was developed and performed on the Iqonga platform at the 6th edition of the festival in 2011. The puppet was designed and built by Handspring who also provided puppeteering training. Inspired by Shailja Patel’s Migritude (2010) the work explored movement, migration and separation through choreography, live choral music and puppetry.
